My interest in art began as a young child, with instruction from my great aunt who took time to steer my attention to drawing and other forms of art. Her influence and encouragement eventually led me to a career in art education. Over the years, teaching art enabled me to hone my technical skills and deepened my appreciation for fine art.

Teaching art in formal school curriculums required covering a wide range of artistic mediums. I offer art lessons in my own studio, allowing me the luxury of scheduling what mediums to teach. For now MY medium of choice is acrylic.

My desire is to keep using and cultivating God’s gift of art, and follow where He leads. Painting is life-giving, and allows me to experience God’s mysterious presence. Art quiets my mind and fills my soul.

“Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother’s womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.”

Ecclesiastes 11:5
